CALIFORNIA CHILDREN'S TRUST/CALIFORNIA COALITION FOR YOUTH'S YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
2022 - Present
In the California Children’s Trust’s and the California Coalition for Youth’s Youth Advisory Boards, we, the members of the board, fight to raise the voices of our peers on a statewide platform by guiding adults on youth topics. We are currently partnered with DHCS to give feedback on an upcoming youth mental health app. We are also working with the Children's Partnership to advocate for peer-to-peer through the $10 million they received through CYBHI for eight high schools to receive peer programs.

Currently I am working on giving the youth perspective on a new youth mental health curriculum that is being adapted from Strength in Us, a Harvard Medical School curriculum with a focus on adults. I am also working with Good for Media by helping promote the California Age-Appropriation Design Code Act.

In 8th grade, I was one of the three Editor-in-Chiefs for my school’s yearbook and newspaper staff, and managed, delegated, and organized the 30 kids in my class. Sometimes, I also led the remaining 60 kids in the other two classes.

THE EMPATHIZERS
2021 - Present
In 7th grade, I created the Empathizers club, a peer-to-peer, anti-stigma club at my middle school that eventually had 40 members by the end of my 8th grade year. Now, being a high schooler, I am still mentoring that middle school club.
